“Wellness Coach” – Everything was tra-la-la for me until the ripe ol’ age of 24. Sure, there had been a few bumps in the road and a couple of wrong turns, all in all pretty normal; then an internal implosion, a few sinkholes, and my path has been twisting, turning and changing direction ever since. Looking back there were multiple warning signs that things were amiss, but being young and dumb I ignored them. Until it was too late and ignorance was no longer an option. I was in for the fight of my life.

v e e.p is a Melbourne based company who sells handcrafted, hand cut, vegan-friendly soap. Each bar is unique in size, weight, colour and design. As our bars are hand cut by one little lady, not a machine, sometimes our bars are little bit less than perfect. They don’t have perfectly straight edges, or perfectly shaped designs, but we think that’s what makes them that little bit special. Each bar is still beautifully made, have wonderful designs and lovely scents, but their little imperfections remind us that nothing and no one is perfect. And that is okay. We are perfectly, imperfect.

A brush with death changed my life and strengthened my career as an artist. On awakening from a coma following emergency brain surgery to repair a ruptured blood vessel, I was presented with an inspirational vision. I found myself in a beautiful, light-filled rose garden and this vision hastened my recovery and illuminated my path forward. This incident has made me see the world through different eyes. I see beauty surrounding me and I want to share my vision with the world.

Catherine Anne Gibb is a Melbourne based artist who has had a love of art and writing for as long she can remember.
Considerable thought of the environmental impact of the art itself goes into Catherine’s creating process. Environmentally aware practices are utilised wherever possible, from using recycled papers, recycled frames, hand-made pigments and dyes derived from plants.
“My goal is to become ecologically neutral, with zero impact on the environment, using 100% recycled, biodegradable and ethically sourced materials and to continue to research and develop new techniques to create a more ecologically aware art. I hope to remind the audience that the art process itself has an environmental impact and to hopefully inspire them to consider their own day-to-day influence and impact on the world, environmental and human.”
I’m Polly. I write, I speak, I teach. That’s my triple gem.
I write all kinds of things from books to blogs to training programs, with a central theme of how to fully engage with our complex beautiful lives and extract the maximum meaning and benefit from them. I’m a big fan of exchanging striving for being; helping you to identify what it is that gets you lit, and working with you as you illuminate your own path.
I speak to crowds big and intimate, sometimes on stage, other times tucked up in a podcast inside the interwebs or living it live in a social media stream. I shout it to the rooftops on all kinds of topics: compassion, kindness, yoga, business, gender, spirituality and sometimes all of these at once. Now that’s a mouthful.

The Australian Society for Kangaroos endeavors to represent all species of kangaroos and wallabies across Australia and internationally, and protect them from unnecessary suffering, killing, orphaning and extinction. The Australian Society for Kangaroos endeavors to represent the general public who value the preservation of kangaroo and wallaby populations across Australia and who wish to protect them from unnecessary death, killing, suffering, orphaning and extinction.
Their pledge was to achieve legislative change to ensure the survival of our unique Kangaroos which they all truly believe would be extinct by 2050 if the mass slaughter every year was allowed to continue with no real opposition. They also determined there was an urgent need to dispel the myths and misinformation about Kangaroos and to do this the Australian public would need to be re-educated with the truth. The scientific research undertaken by those with a vested interest in the commercial kangaroo industry didn’t escape the scrutiny of the group. Everyone at the meeting had all read extensively about the industry and saw the glaring incompatibility between the research undertaken by those who had a pecuniary interest and those who did not. Who we are and what we want to achieve is a work in progress but there is an ongoing shared determination to succeed.

Our names are Sayo & Rae. We met in Melbourne and bonded over a love of animals. We searched all over the east coast of Australia to find a suitable location and property to help animals in need. After an 18 month search we found that at an 850 acre property near Cobargo on the Far South Coast. The property was perfectly set up to house native and farm animals in need, with stables, penned areas and a lot of outbuildings. Unfortunately, fire destroyed our home 3 days after we moved in – we got out seconds before it was completely engulfed in flames. We were forced to relocate again, further north to the Mid South Coast, to a smaller 67 acres still suitable to release animals, but without the buildings and pens. We are currently operating at this location, but hope to set up another shelter at the original property in future.
I began operating my commercial business in 2007 called Five Freedoms Animal Rescue to provide humane management of animals that are in conflict with humans in their homes, on public land or on major construction and land development sites. Whether removing snakes, excluding possums from buildings or tranquillising large and dangerous animals, a safe and successful capture and the wellbeing of the animal is the driving force of my business.
I am a writer, teacher and wildlife carer. I love writing stories and of course I love to read all sorts of books. When I’m not reading or writing or teaching, I’m looking after orphaned and injured wildlife so that they can be returned to the wild.
I enjoy writing children’s fiction and non-fiction, poems, short stories, educational resources and wildlife articles. I also provide editing and proofreading services, manuscript assessment and ghostwriting services.
Roos and Poos: A week in the life of a Kangaroo carer
The more you travel the more you learn; not to predict what a place will bring, have any expectations on your experience and most importantly never plan anything! This is exactly how I ended up joining a family of 2 humans, 9 Kangaroos, 20 chickens, 2 cows, 2 dogs and not forgetting a chatty parrot.

Vanessa creates a lot of her own food in this blog, and also goes by some non-vegan recipes for veganising old favorites. If by chance she should use a recipe or share a recipe on the blog that originally belongs to another blogger or chef she will always give credit where credit is due. She does not steal recipes nor twist recipes for her own so if there’s a likeness of a recipe to someone else’s that is purely a coincidence as she doesn’t profit from her blog recipes in any way.
